Design and Optimization of Compact Printed Log-Periodic Dipole Array Antennas with Extended Low-Frequency Response

This paper initially presents an overview of different miniaturization techniques used for size reduction printed log-periodic dipole array (PLPDA) antennas, and then continues by presenting a design conventional PLPDA that operates from 0.7–8 GHz achieves realized gain around 5.5 dBi in most its bandwidth. antenna is as baseline model to implement novel technique extend the low-frequency response. completed replacing longest straight with triangular-shaped optimizing four dipoles using Trust Region Framework algorithm CST. The improved extended response 0.4 8 slightly reduced at lower frequencies.
